Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency - Douglas Adams - Book Review

5 stars

I'm re-reading a bunch of old favourites. I've read this one a LOT of times, but it's been a while since the last reading. It's still brilliant. Just the right amount of battiness for me. You need to have an awareness of the story behind Coleridge's Kubla Khan (and perhaps The Rime of the Ancient Mariner) for the conclusion to make sense.

Trivia: Apparently it was this book that brought about the friendship between Adams and Dawkins.

So, onto The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul. *oh joy*
