Inspiration and whimsy

Teach us, good Lord, to serve Thee as Thou deservest; to give and not to count the cost; to fight and not to heed the wounds; to toil and not to seek for rest; to labour and not to ask for any reward save that of knowing that we do Thy will, O Lord our God. - Amy Carmichael

"Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh?" he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's hand. "I just wanted to be sure of you."
— A.A. Milne, 'Winnie-the-Pooh'

Love this quote from Pooh.

And no, don't finish a book you aren't enjoying. I just figured this out after years of finishing books just because I thought it was an unwritten law somewhere. Oh the books I struggled through before that epiphany hit!

Pamela - I sort of felt I ought to finish The Three Musketeers because it's a classic, but really that would just be silly! :)

AQGL - I loved both quotes, they're so different but I wanted to share! :)
