Random Dozen

This is my first time doing a 'Random Dozen'. It looked fun, so here goes.

1. Define a great relationship.

The Father and the Son - the ultimate perfect relationship.

2. Why is it called a "drive-through" if you have to stop? (Real question: What was the last food/drink you purchased at a drive-through?)

Last meal purchased was a McDonalds - Me n' hubs had a Quarter-pounder with cheese meal, the girls had chicken McNuggets happy meals.

3. As I type this, the Butler Bulldogs are getting ready to play in the NCAA championship game. Every Hoosier is hysterical about this except me. So in honor of the Bulldogs ... what is your favorite breed of dog? (I tried.)

Not a clue what the NCAA is...anyway, my favourite breed of dog would have to be a Jack Russell Terrier.

4. If you had to move to a state besides the one you currently live in, where would you move?

In the UK the county I would choose is Cornwall - if I had to move to the USA I'd choose I dunno - is Colorado nice?? The Rockies are there aren't they? Never been to the USA.

5. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?

Less worrying about what people think.

6. Who's the funniest person you know?

You know I was musing on this, I haven't had a really good laugh in ages - you know where you laugh until your sides hurt. Something wrong there! Perhaps I'm taking life too seriously? I dunno.

7. Did you get enough sleep last night?

No, but then I was ill yesterday and slept too much, which meant I couldn't get to sleep last night. Lol, I did sleep through our cat raging about the back garden fighting with her nemesis (stripy cat from over the road) she woke up hubs at 2 am and he wasn't impressed.

8. What's the first thing you thought about this morning?

I blearily thought, "Better go make hubs' butties* for his lunch". (def: sandwiches)

9. Grilled or Fried? --HONESTLY

Either, honestly!

10. Are you afraid of the dark?

No, unless I'm scared for another reason - i.e. I've just watched Crimewatch or something.

11.When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A teacher.

12. If you had one word to describe yourself , what would you choose?

Fabulous darling! Lol, I joke. Perhaps - Sociable.

Hi...Welcome to the Random. It was fun reading your answers.

Where in the UK are you? We moved back to the states in July after six years in Buckinghamshire (Gerrards Cross). We loved it. We miss it alot.

I loved getting a dose of British 'speak' here today : )

Hi Sarah,

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog to comment on my Random Dozen. <3

So, you say that one of your loves is English language. If you're not a native English speaker, I certainly can't tell. If you love the history of the language and its intricacies, I'm with you there.

Also, I really liked your answer to 1!

Have a wonderful day, Sarah!

Thanks ladies. 'Butty' is such a great word, it comes from 'buttered sandwich'.

Joyce - I live in Lancashire.

Joyce (ramblings) my Granddad has had his stitches out now. I plan to ring him tomorrow, he's still waiting for a hospital appointment.

Enjoyed your answers, especially number 1. I didn't get round to doing the Random Dozen this week. Sharing one laptop with two teens / preteens on holiday from school means not much computer time!
