1. Bible College
I started my first week at Bible College. I'm loving it already. The full course is three days a week, but I can only do two as I care for Grandma on one of the days. But that's fine. At the moment we are learning about the Book of Zechariah, Book of Philippians, the Father Heart of God, and Fruits of the Spirit. It's a lot to take in, but very enjoyable!
2. Getting my bathroom done
We are finally having our bathroom done. When we moved into this house thirteen years ago the bathroom needed doing, and here we are FINALLY getting it sorted. We are just having a very simple white suite and tiles. It'll be lovely not to have that old blue suite anymore...or water intermittently coming through the kitchen ceiling! I can hear the workmen banging and crashing away upstairs.
3. The Pearl of Great Price
I have always understood the scripture about the Pearl of Great Price as being directed at us being the ones who seek out the Pearl. But this week I attended our Ladies Night at church and we learned that WE are the Pearl of Great Price! I think the scripture can be interpreted both ways, and to be honest I was rather dubious. I wondered about it. But then yesterday a chappie at Bible College taught about the Father Heart of God and guess what he said? Yes, WE are the treasure in the field, WE are the Pearl of Great Price! Either that is a great coincidence, or God is trying to tell me something. LOL
4. My Children
Every week I realise just how much I love my little girls...well Chatterbox is 12 now and Squidge is 9, not so little anymore. They are beautiful, funny and so precious.
5. Spring Flowers
We've been very blessed not to have suffered from particularly bad weather like a lot of the UK has suffered in recent weeks. It's been very wet - rain, rain, rain - but I've been able to get out into the garden and plant out narcissi, tulip, snowdrop bulbs and some primroses. We've had no hard frost either. I do want some snow though, not as bad as has been suffered by areas of the USA but just enough to go sledging, build a snowman and for the girls and G to get snow days away from work and school. :)

Update on Granddad:
He's had a scan and it seems he has an infected gall bladder, which may mean he doesn't need an operation just a course of antibiotics. Please keep praying. He has a bad chest too, pray against pneumonia - always a danger in a man his age (95) who is stuck in a hospital bed.

Oh I really like your blog! So glad I found it via the FFF!! My oldest daughter who is 20 would just love to be living in England. We love The British tv show Downton Abbey and are so happy it is back on here in the states. You can have some of our snow ....we had 8 inches of it last week here in eastern NY state......most has melted now but it has been bitter cold. The high one day was only 7 degrees F. Yay for little girls.!! I have two I call the princess age 20 and the ballerina age 15. Happy weekend!!

It always amazes me how God speaks to us through people and situations! It is especially amazing when WE are open and hear His words! I hope you enjoy and get a lot out of Bible College.
Our weather in mid USA has been terrible. We have 8 inches of snow and below zero temps!
Oh your poor dear granddad. Praying right now that pneumonia does not settle in.
A new bathroom...what a treat that will be. At this old house both of our old bathrooms are on the list to completely re-do. Hopefully we'll be able to do one this year.
Your Bible courses sound good. I've been seeing photos of some of the devastation from all the rain you've had in G.B. Hope things settle down soon.
Speaking of Great Britain we are taking our son to a British pub here in our part of Seattle area to celebrate his birthday.

It is certainly good news that he doesn't have to have an operation. Praise God! He is still very frail, not eating properly, has a drain in his chest and his medication is making him hallucinate a little. Keep praying! Thank you so much. x
As I said above to Angela, we are so pleased he doesn't need an operation, at 95 and frail we weren't sure how that would turn out. Praising God for that. We are praying now that he would strengthen and not suffer anymore from his chest and from the harsh medication he's on. Thank you for your prayers. x
Haha, I would LOVE some of your snow. Everyone tells me off when I say I'm praying for snow! LOL

Wow, 8 inches of snow, I'd love 8 inches of snow!....of course I know that would be awfully inconvenient...and COLD. But if I didn't have to drive in it I would love it. Maybe just an inch. LOL
We've had terrible weather here too, flooding and damaging storms on the West coasts. Quite scary in some places. Praying for all those who have suffered because of the bad weather.
Thank you so much for your prayers. I'm quite worried about him. Bless him. He doesn't like being old at the best of times, but when he's ill he gets very cross.
We've been fortunate weather-wise, an awful lot of rain and a bit of wind, but no flooding, praise God.
There's nothing like pub-grub. My mum and dad are taking me out for a nice meal at our favourite local pub - lovely open fire, nice and cosy.

How neat to be able to take some Bible courses!
We had a former pastor who used to preach that we are the pearl of great price that Jesus gave us all for. Like you, I can see it both ways.
How fun to be able to redo the bathroom! It always takes a while to be able to get to home renovations, and it can be a mess during them, but it is so nice when they're done.
Glad your grandfather's prognosis isn't as bad as it could have been and hope he heals well and quickly.
We also had very bad weather here in Belgium, but not such a lot of flooding like in the UK !

I lived in England (between Ipswich and Felixstowe) for 5 years about 20 years ago. I LOVED it there in our little village. It is my dream to go back and live there again.
Hurray for a new bathroom. It will be awesome when all the work is done and you can enjoy it everyday. I had a new bathroom put in about 2 years ago. A car crashed into it at 2am. The funny thing is that I live in the middle of an apartment complex. :)
I pray that your spiritual journey and healing is one of the biggest blessings in 2014.

We've heard about the flooding in the UK - so glad you're not in the thick of it. My son and dil live in London - it hasn't been bad there either although quite windy and rainy.
